A varied and rich heritage has been left to today’s people of West Sussex, passed down by oral tradition. Many well-known names such as Edward Elgar, Hubert Parry, John Ireland, Thomas Weelkes and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
More Recently, artists such as Keane,The Cure and the Levellers all have come out of Sussex.

West Sussex Sings – 2013
Our performance at the West Sussex Sings Choral event was the pinnacle of our year, we all really enjoyed it! We sang some fab songs: Allunde Aluyah, an African lullabye, Feeling Good, Jamaican Farewell/Islands in the sun, Wait till tomorrow and Shania Twain’s “You’re still the one”.
Everyone in the choir felt extremely proud of the progress made during the year and felt a huge sense of achievement standing on the stage looking out at the families who came to show support.
Huge thanks have to go to Hilary Bishop, our Choir’s Director, for getting us ready to perform…a first for a few in the choir; West Sussex Music for organising the festival; Inspire Leisure for hosting the Choirs and to the Windmill Theater for a wonderful venue!
